H1n1 flu

Singapore has confirmed 26 new cases of H1N1 including three who appear to have acquired their infections in Singapore. 22 cases involve travellers returning from other countries. The other case is a close contact of an earlier confirmed case. The new cases bring the total number of infected people in Singapore to 103. The Ministry of Health (MOH) says the three unlinked cases have no travel history and are not known to have contacted with confirmed cases.

H1n1 flu is by far the worst flu humans have encountered.Scientist are working day and night for a cure for the H1n1 flu.(Thats what i hope)Now the flu has reached Singapore. Singapore had been trying its best to keep the H1n1 flu at bay but the flu got through. At first only people who had gone overseas had gotten the flu, but now even locals have gotten the flu.If this continues, soon there will cases of H1n1 flu flooding the hospitals. As we all know, the flu is tranmitable from human to human.The goverment is trying its best to not let the flu get out of control and i think that they are doing the right thing as by doing so they are protecting us from the flu . But even as i type now , there might be people dying all over the world.I have heard that the desiease can become resistant to any anti-biotic after a while. This may be a very big of a challenge for the sceintists.I think that if they want to kill the flu once and for all, they must entirely vanish it at once . As it may trasnmit again.If they can gather everybody in the world and give them the anti-biotic(When they find one)and i think that when the flu has been vanished totally it cant start all over again.In other words it cant multiply and transmite again.But i know that i may not be correct. This can affect the whole world as , if farmers get that disease , we wont be able to get food and more worse there will be more deaths.When this happen Singapore will also be affected just like the rest of the world.The least we can do to help is to be cautious about what we do and of course stay clean.

FIRE RAGES ON AS CHILDREN NAP

A fire broke out in a day care centre while the childrens were having a nap. At least 31 childrens were killed and 30 among them were badly burnt. The childrens were only aged from 6 months old to 5 years old. Parents never had thought that they would never see their childrens alive again. There were 20 employees at the day care centre. At seeing the height of the blaze, residents near the day care centre rushed to help.Residents even tried to smash the cement walls of the centre using cars and vans to save the childrens inside.

Graves were dug for the childrens killed at the day care centre. Investigation shows that the fire MAY have started in a warehouse beside the day care centre. When told that the fire had started in his warehouse,the owner denied the information.
I think that if the fire had started in the warehouse and the owner knows it , he should tell the police or anybody. As by doing so , the people can prevent this by happening again by taking this as a lesson and being more careful and improving on their safety measures. Making the world a safer place.This may have been a bad thing to happen but it brought out the hero in the residents around the day care centre.
I may not know how it feels to be burned alive but i sure do know that it is very painful.

'Wake up.Wake up. Wake up!' James mother bellowed at him to get up from his evening sleep. 'Huh?' James family was going to a friends party. All except James. 'Do not open the door for anybody,' Mrs Patterson warned his son as she walked towards her car. 'Okay mom,' James replied still a bit sleepy. 'Yes,' James shouted in his mind as he saw his moms car dissapear around the corner. 'A day of fun awaits me,' he said. He didnt know how wrong he was.

Indonesia was hit by a 7.5 meter earthquake.Four people died and thousands of homes were destroyed.I think we should help Indonesia by donating some money.If we help them then they would help us too.

The NOL is cutting over 10000 jobs worldwide.It could affect us if we were working there and there would be a chance of a lower stander of service now.I think we should protest against this.What if in the future you re working and suddenly you are fired.To prevent this in the future,we should protest.

A Race For life

"We are late for school again!",i said to my sister as she always wakes up late.
If we are late today Mr ang will punish us,get ready soon.I looked at the time,my eyeballs almost popped out of their sockets.It was 7.30 and the school is going to start at 7.45.Me and my sister took our bags and stormed out of the house.

We caught a taxi from below our block.As I entered the taxi, i saw the taxi driver's expressionless face,he also had a scar on his forehead ."I have seen him somewhere,but where?",i asked myself.As i browsed through my memory. I gave up when i could not find it, i pushed that thought out of my mind.The taxi driver asked me where i wanted to go,i told him my destination."Please be fast,we are already late for school."I will be fast the taxi driver said it looked like he had just moaned.Very fast."Did you say something?",i asked ."No",he replied.

I took out my project to check if it was done properly.Then something caught the attention of my eye.There was a photo of that taxi driver.(This guy has been kidnapping children but the police could not catch him. Please beware that this guy was a patient in a mental hospital for almost 2 years,he escaped from there.If you see him please inform the police do not approach him ,he is very dangerous.)When i looked up we were on a lonely road."Where are you taking us?",i asked with sweat triking down my face Many bad thoughts flashed through my mind."Stop the car",i said a bit scared.The taxi driver broke into a laughter,a mad laughter.He stopped the car and got out.He took out a big knife.My sister was listening to her mp3 .When she saw the driver with the knife her mouth opened wide. Luckily i had learned a bit of driving,i started the car and pushed the accelerates all the way down. The driver's eyes widened when he saw me driving the car.He jumped out of the way.

After the driver was out of site,i scanned the area.My sister was parallelized with fear."boom" something hit hard on the taxi .My head hit hard on the steering wheel.Fresh blood started flowing down my face. I looked back and saw another car.Wasn't that mad man enough that he bought a car.I felt excited and scared at the same time.I used the map on the map indicator in the taxi.But lady luck was not on my side,it showed out of reach.Then i saw a car.A ray of hope.I accelerated to the car, luckily the mad driver far from in view.I pleaded the guy to help us he called the police.The Police reached there in a matter of minutes.The police caught the mad guy.The police thanked us and sent us back home. Our mother Was very worried but when she saw us she was very happy .The police gave us a medal for helping them catch the mad man.

A Good Deed

"Mummy,i want to buy that doll",Betty said to her mother."First let me buy my groceries".
"I am out side the shop" Betty said.Betty went out side and stood there then she saw a man wearing a long pant,shirt and a long court.Betty was feeling very hot."How can a guy wear so many cloths in such a hot weather?"That guy was also wearing black glasses and had a stick in his hand.
He banged into a woman and fell down. When the woman was trying to help him get up he put his hand in the woman purse and took out her wallet.Betty saw it but didn't say anything.She went in the shop and told her mother what she saw.Her mother told her that you should never steal or let others steal.Betty showed her mother the guy ,he was still there.Betty's mother called the police and the thief was arrested.The woman thanked Betty and her mother.Betty and her mother was given a medal.
